Mari Paul is a Finnish singer and songwriter. Her debut song "Break The Code" was released in June 2023.
This musical journey began about a decade ago when Mari performed original songs live with varying line-ups and musicians. In the past couple of years Mari and co-writer/musician Eero Salmiheimo have rearranged and re-imagined those songs from previous live versions, bringing this music to this time and age. Connections with former band mates have remained and many of them will be part of this new adventure.
Friends, musicians and fans have been wishing to hear that music recorded , now the time is right for that to happen. So far this is a studio project with no performances or touring in sight.
This is pop rock, with some alternative twists in it. It has been described as rich with nuances. Mari likes to call it "deep pop”. It's about not being afraid of looking outside of any given boxes or genres, just trying to keep one’s mind and ears open.
The first three songs "Break The Code (Single Edit)", "Listen To The Mermaids" and "House" have received rave reviews from around the world - they have been described as gorgeous, haunting, magical and enchanting.
